consider that Kristen's and Brandy's hometown of
Laplace--site of the Andouille and St. James Sugar
festivals on the map below at far right--is 220 miles
from the site of the Fur Festival in Cameron Parish (far left), which both visited as guests of Fur Queen Lauren. Some weekends even require queens to fit in multiple events state wide. For instance, Visiting Queens attending
both the 2008 Frog Festival in Rayne and the Orange Ball
in Belle Chase had to drive three hours between events.
